This preamp default gain is 13 times. After replacing the 1k resistor to 2k2, the gain will be smaller, at 6.5 times.

Naim NAC is a unique preamp circuit, two-stage circuit structure,  0DB buffer then pass volume potentiometer, followed by a siminal pre-Marantz 7  transistor amplifier circuit; lines are single-ended two-stage design, large quiescent current CPI design, coupled with tantalum, ZTX Transistors, the sound warm and soft.
