The performance of the LM3886, utilizing its Self Peak Instantaneous Temperature (°Ke) (SPiKeTM) protection circuitry, puts it in a class above discrete and hybrid amplifiers by providing an inherently, dynamically protected Safe Operating Area (SOA).
